Cassino. Peace Monument by Umberto Mastroianni

The Cassino Peace Monument is the work of the Ciociarian sculptor Umberto Mastroianni (uncle of the most famous actor Marcello).

The steel monument, weighing about 100 tons and a height of 11 m, is located on the slopes of Montecassino, next to Rocca Janula.

A reproduction of the sculpture, of smaller dimensions, is placed in piazza XV febbraio, in the center of the city.

The Peace Monument by Umberto Mastroianni of Cassino is a snapshot of a terrifying metallic explosion, it symbolizes the warning against any war and the desire for peace among peoples.
