Leonessa. Cherubini Palace

Leonessa. Cherubini Palace

In Leonessa, the Cherubini palace has a local white stone arch, embellished with moldings, while the arches of the upper floor are of 16th century style.

On the facade, the plaque remembers Bixio Cherubini, author of evergreens such as Violino Tzigano, Mamma, Tango delle Capinere and Vola Colomba, who was born here in 1899.

After his passing, the Pro Loco of Leonessa presided by Ivo Pulcini, organized a special event “Lucciole Vagabonde” on Rai 2 with all his songs.
