Soriano nel Cimino. Chigi-Albani Palace

Soriano nel Cimino. Chigi-Albani Palace

The Chigi-Albani palace of Soriano nel Cimino was started in 1561 when the estate belonged to the Madruzzo.

It was Cardinal Cristoforo Madruzzo who set to work on the Papacqua spring, whose sculptures were carved directly on the stone in this place, and who built the first floor of the building.

The palace was then rearranged in the eighteenth century by Albani.
