Accumoli. Civic Tower

It is the oldest artifact of Accumoli and dates back to the twelfth century. It is in the valley of the Tronto and was built by Marco Benincasa, a local gentleman who for some years had been the tyrant of Accumoli under the mandate of the Orsini. Its logo, a small lion surmounted by a big lion with large mane, is visible in front of the square tower and a little spire.
