Forano. Ducal Palace

The Ducal Palace of Forano was built by the Strozzi family in the eighteenth century by transforming the ancient fortress.

The palace has a rectangular plan and is on three floors of the same size with the classic distribution of functions.

In the basement there are cellars with vaulted or barrel ceilings.

On the ground floor is the main entrance and the chapel dedicated to the Holy Family.

The upper floors, which are reached through a central staircase, are the noble apartments.

From the top floor you can enjoy an incredible view of the Tiber river and of an enchanted land.
