Giorgi-Roffi Isabelli Palace at Ferentino was built on a Roman building, itself built over the megalithic walls, and was remodelled over the centuries. I
n the second half of the nineteenth century it received a new strictly neo-classical decoration or better described as "Pompeian".
Inside it one finds unusual paintings, frescoed rooms with pagan subjects of enigmatic character, and epigraphic collections from unknown sites.
In the centuries it has hosted historical figures, scientists, scholars who have frequented the library containing codice and incunabula, and enigmatic symbols that defy the most profound attempts of human knowledge.
