Fontana Liri. Castle Succorte

Castle Succorte had been built in Fontana Liri around a 1000 on a hill for defensive purposes and downstream control.

Around the castle developed the Upper Fontana Liri village.

The castle remains the main tower visible from afar. A large fresco in the great hall was removed and is now kept in the Town Hall.
