At the foot of the staircase of the collegiate church of San Giovanni Battista in Campagnano di Roma, one can admire the so-called Fontana Secca "dry fountain".
It is a structure in peperino that dates back to 1520.
The fountain was built by the Orsini family and has the form of a sacred aedicule .
Instead of the religious image, there is a marble basin in the shape of a shell and two fountains that come from two animal texts.
On the fountain you can recognize the coats of arms of the Orsini family and the city of Campagnano di Roma.
