Fontechiari. Agostini Palace

Fontechiari. Agostini Palace

Agostini Palace is an eighteenth-century building in the center of Fontechiari that Don Giovanni Antonio D’Agostino, “physical surgeon” of Casalvieri, in 1743 received as the gift of Rosa Anna Simeone, twenty years younger.

Together they gave birth to the Agostini family.

The palace is made up of large frescoed vaulted salons, a hanging garden and a porch with large circular columns.

On the ground fl oor and in the basements there were equipments for making wine and oil and for processing the grain.

The building without its furnishings is now municipal property.
