Terracina. Forum Emiliano monument

The area of the central square of Terracina was the ancient Foro Emiliano and the San Cesareo cathedral stands on the ancient temple.

While the city hall lies on the Roman basilica.

The ancient Roman forum was crossed by the Appia way, whose pavement is still visible, including the sidewalk and the gutter.

The square still retains the old paving slabs of limestone on which lies the bronze inscription of the magistrate who built it (Aulus Aemilius).
