Contigliano. Fountain near city hall

Opposite the city hall of Contigliano, there is a pink stone fountain that dates back to 1760.

It was built when the aqueduct first arrived in the town.

The fountain is composed of a large pseudo-rectangular basin with rounded corners, with sinuous curves . It central body ends with a column in travertine and a circular basin from which water used to come out.

On the four sides of the fountain's central body, you can see four heads which recall figures of animals.
