Norma. Fountain of Piazza Caio Cestio

Norma. Fountain of Piazza Caio Cestio

The fountain of Piazza Caio Cestio in Norma dates back to 1898 and, like many fountains, marked the arrival in the city of the aqueduct.

It is located along the main corso right in front of the village schools.

The fountain is characterized by a basin with a particular sinuous shape composed of 4 circular pools in white marble that connect.

In the centre, a column in travertine marble and other amber-colored stones end with a bronze ball.

The water comes out of four faces with female figures, each of which feeds one of the four tanks.
