Frosinone. Saint Angel tomb

The tomb was a funerary monument of the second century AD and is on an almost square plan, with a side of about 5 meters, and is built in brick.

Its style is that of Roman tombs 'a camera’ (room) or ‘a celle’ that spread from the second century AD.

It is covered with a cross vault and the entrance and the threshold and lintel are limestone.

On the front, just above the entrance, there are two windows on which were placed the tombstones of the dead.

The interior has traces of medieval frescoes from the time when this monument was used as a place of worship.
