Giuliano di Roma. Bell Tower

With a height of about thirty meters, the bell tower of Giuliano di Roma is the tallest building in the town and dominates the Amaseno Valley.

It was the ‘maschio’(main tower) of the castle of the Colonna, and dates from the fifteenth century.

The castle originally had a boundary wall at the corners of which towered four cylindrical towers of about eleven meters.

It has four bells and the great bell is played by hand only in large feasts.

The tower from the eighteenth century has a clock.
