The church of SS.Vergin of the Rosary is located in the heart of the historic center of Gorga next to the palace of Cardinal Santucci.
The church then became part of the cardinal's building and at the end of the 19th century it assumed its current architectural form, strongly desired by Pope Leo XIII, born in the nearby Carpineto Romano. In the neoclassical facade you can see two plaques that tell of the link with the pope and with the cardinal's family.
Upon the cardinal's death, the palace passed to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood and then to the Trinitarian Fathers.
The facade is in neoclassical style with a small bell tower on one side. The church was designed by the architect Angelo Maria Fagiolo, a native of nearby Segni, and also the founder and first president of the Rural Bank of Segni.
Inside you enter a cozy environment that ends with a small dome while a beautiful wooden choir loft is located above the entrance door.
Among the works to admire, the banner of the congregation of the Virgin of the Rosary, to which the church is dedicated, and some ancient canvases that represent the story of the crucifixion.
