Isola del Liri. Courrier Papermill, today Mancini

The Courrier paper mill was founded on the isle of Isola del Liri, downstream of the large Waterfall.

It represents a wonderful example of a partnership between productive and residential activities.

At the end of its construction, the building complex was surrounded by the river and connected to the mainland with a beautiful example of an iron bridge, later replaced by a modern concrete bridge.

The paper mill included in its premises facilities for paper production, the owners' residences and, inevitably, a hydroelectric power plant.

Over the years it has been used partially as a high school.

Today it is a residential complex and an architectural gem between the arms of the river.
