Ventotene. Lighthouse

The lighthouse of Ventotene is a 21-meter-tall cylindrical tower that rises above a white building at the sea side of the Roman port.

A balcony surrounds the lantern that emits the light beam fed by the electrical supply.

It is visible in the distance to guide the ships in the port. The lighthouse went into operation in 1955.
