Capena. Monks palace

Capena. Monks palace

The Monks palace building was created in Capena with the expansion of the Medieval Castle of Leprignano and incorporating a Roman wall.

For years, it was under the control of the monks and given to various families.

In the sixteenth century, the abbot of St. Paul returned to exert his authority on Leprignano castle, which was the residence of the Benedictine monks of St. Paul, and is now privately owned.
