Just below the castle and on the edge of the large main square of Morolo, there is the monument dedicated to the fallen of the First World War. The monument is located within a small fenced green area which gives it a certain mystique and privacy.
The monument consists of three travertine tombstones placed side by side bearing the names of the fallen and which are placed in correspondence with a rock of the mountain. Two bronze soldier heads are found on the sides of the central section of the plaque which also bears the signature of the artist Enrico Martini and the date "Rome 1936".
Enrico Martini is a sculptor born in Morolo in 1898 and a pupil of the great Ernesto Biondi and among his most significant works we mention a sculpture representing the province of Frosinone and located in the Foro Italico, and the "Flight of Swallows" placed in the hospital of Latina.
