Borgo Velino. Ninfeo Flavian

In Sabina and in the area of Borgo Velino there were many villas from the period of Imperial Rome, attended by senators and even by the emperors.

In the public gardens of the village, you can admire the remains of a monumental nymphaeum belonging to a Roman villa.

This villa welcomed the imperial Flavian dynasty that held power in Rome 69-96 AC.

The structure has considerable size that lets one imagine the architectural grandeur of the building.

There are three large areas covered with a barrel vault and interspersed with niches.
