Prossedi. Gate of the city

Prossedi. Gate of the city

At one time the town of Prossedi was accessed through a large gate with an important mechanical clock on its top.

The gate has an entrance arch framed by rusticated stone workings and a masonry crowning structure on which the clock is positioned.

The watch was later replaced in 1899 with one made by the Federico Uccelli company in Milan.

This watch was then modernized in 1987 and today has regulated operation
