Riofreddo. Church of St. Atanasio

The small church of St. Atanasio is located outside the village of Riofreddo at the confluence of two rivers.

The exterior appears as a square facade with an entrance door and two windows surrounded by stone. The facade ends with a bell tower with a bell while the interior is a single room covered with barrel vaults.

Its construction is due to a miracle when the population was saved from the brigands of Marco Sciarra, while according to another legend the saint protected the population from the plague.
