Roccasecca. Palace of the Former Seminary

Roccasecca. Palace of the Former Seminary

The Palace of the Former Seminary in Roccasecca was built by the Boncompagni family who ruled these territories from the 16th century.

It was donated to the bishop of the diocese of Aquino-Pontecorvo as a bishop's seat.

It is a three-story building with a very simple style: the windows are placed in a regular position and framed by a simple frame.

After being purchased by the municipality it was the seat of the Pretura, of the Dazio and of the elementary schools.

After the 1981 restoration, it was the municipal seat during the 1984 earthquake with its epicenter in San Donato Val di Comino and now houses a Commercial Institute and various cultural associations.
