Roccasecca. Statue of St. Thomas

Roccasecca. Statue of St. Thomas

The statue of St. Thomas is located at the entrance to the village of Roccasecca on the Tracciolino. This is the famous route of the Bourbons that connects the valley of Liri with Val Comino and follows the path of the river Melfa up to Casalvieri.

The work is in Coreno marble, a stone that is located on the nearby Aurunci Mountains, and represents St Thomas Aquino and was created by the sculptor Giuliano Vangi in 2005.

It is positioned on a natural balcony overlooking the Liri Valley and is 9 meters high.
