The Ruspoli castle in Riano is located on top of the hill on the rock and today its courtyard is the main square of the village. It has a square plan and three round towers with slit openings.
On the ground floor is the chapel which houses paintings of the Zuccari. There are also stables, storerooms, warehouses and the cistern to collect rainwater from the roofs. On the floor above are the stately rooms.
At the foot of the tower there is a room with a window protected by a sturdy railing which was used as a prison. There is a high wall around the castle and walls surrounded the entire village.
Also on the square is the baronial mansion that houses the town hall.
