Church of the Archangel Michael
Church of the Archangel Michael

Saracinesco. Church of the Archangel Michael

The church of the Archangel Michael is located in the main square of Saracinesco and dates back to the 13th century. Arriving in the square you come across the long side of the church and the bell tower with two orders of arches.

The facade is simple with a gabled roof and inside the church has a single nave that ends with an altar. On the sides of the altar you can see two sixteenth-century frescoes representing the Archangel Michael and the Apostle Peter.

Above the entrance to the church you can recognize the ancient choir where the organ once stood.
