Vetralla. Town Hall

Vetralla. Town Hall

The palace of the Town Hall of Vetralla was designed by architect Philip Barigioni and was built in 1731 commissioned by the Imperial Cardinal.

Its monumental façade ends with a small bell tower in which is placed a clock. The interior is tastefully decorated by the painter Valentino Alfazio.

In the Council Chamber is a white marble bust of the late eighteenth century, representing the Cardinal Henry Stuart, Duke of York and protector of Vetralla.

On the stairs are Roman marbles and coats of arms of Pope Julius II Della Rovere, the king of England, Henry VIII Tudor, and Cardinal Christopher Bainbridge, Archbishop of York.
