Quinones Palace

Veroli. Quinones Palace

Quinones Palace is one of the best examples of medieval architecture of Veroli with its Romanesque-Gothic style, the result of overlapping over time.

The palace takes its name from Cardinal Quiñones, prefect of Veroli in 1535, and is located near Porta Santa Croce.

One of its sides is characterized by an elevated mullioned window with Gothic arches and a lily-shaped loophole, symbol of the cardinal.

The building is composed of two parts joined by an arch that give rise to a small internal courtyard.

It is characterized by a proffer, a typical staircase with a medieval balcony under which there were often shops.
