Colleferro. War Shelters

The (shelters) Rifugi of Colleferro comprise a network of more than 6 km of tunnels used during the Second World War as an air raid shelter for citizenship.

There are reconstructed period rooms with war relics illustrating the underground life of the population.

Today these tunnels, created by digging in the pozzolana quarries, are partly accessible and are home to many cultural events.
