Villa Santo Stefano. Municipal Gallery Pomponio Palombo

The Municipal Gallery Pomponio Palombo in Villa Santo Stefano collects works of art and stories of Pomponio Palombo.

"Pomponio Palombo Pictor of Villa Santo Stefano" is an artist and patron born in Villa Santo Stefano in the 1500s and died in Priverno in 1592. He was both painter as well as an architect, decorator and restorer.

The love that bound him to Villa Santo Stefano is deduced from his will in which is a legacy for the establishment of a school (College of St. Nicholas) in Priverno which specified that the Santo Stefano pupils could attend for free.
