House and Museum of Mariangela Virgili in Ronciglione tells the story of Mariangela Virgili who was one of the 'Carmelites of the Ancient Observance' and is in the process of beatification.
The palace of Virgili is in the medieval village and has the coat of arms on the front door. In the seventeenth century, the Virgili family was impoverished and on the second floor lived the family of Mariangela and the cell (with wooden fence) where she lived and died.
The walls are covered with several hundred ex-votoes representing hearts, eyes and other body parts. There are also tablets and votive paintings, photographs of ordinary people and soldiers of all wars, including those of the present.
