GallinaRock Festival New Talents, also called GallinaRock, was born in 2009 to promote new talent in the music field and Gallinaro in Val di Comino. The festival in fact takes place in the frame of San Leonardo Park in the historic center of the village.
It is a rock music festival of different musical influences reserved for emerging singers and groups who intend to present themselves to the attention of the artistic world: a contest and a competition of performances that has come to the national stage over the years. GallinaRock does not have the sole function of presenting established artists or groups, but of being a reference point and springboard for many young people in search of visibility.
The artistic area of GallinaArtRock acts as an artistic frame for musical performances, where the protagonists are painters, sculptors, performers, photographers and all those who want to give voice to their artistic vein with every form of art and creativity.
It starts with the performances of the bands included in the contest and known guests. The live music evenings of the festival arrive until late at night with sounds then entrusted to the best DJ-sets. The final evening of the Festival opens with performances by the winners of the contest followed by well-known bands of the Italian underground scene with their sound that mixes rock, punk and funk.
Along with the events, the tourist can discover the traditions of local craftsmanship and typical products on the stands.
In the last years they have played at the Gallinarock the 99 Posse, Bandabardò, Andrea Appino of The Zen Circus, Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, Kutso, Piotta, The Zoo di Berlino, Almamegretta, Valerio Jovine, Marlene Kuntz, Giorgio Canali & Rossofuoco and many others.
