Capena. Historia Capenatium

In the first week of July, in the city centre of Capena there is the Historical Re-enactment that traces the history of Fortebraccio, soldier of fortune who in 1433 moved against Rome.

The pope then called to arms by all papal areas including 25 people from Leprignano.

To choose these 25 brave men, the leprignanesi began to train and to compete in the square in the medieval village.

This small militia was called "Milites Sancti Pauli" and is commemorated every year.
