In July in the town of Montenero Sabino you can live a 'Medieval' Day when the village takes a trip back in time.
They reactivate the shops of ancient arts and crafts such as basket maker, blacksmith, money changers, coiner of coins, dairyman.
We witness exhibition of medieval "scrima" (fencing), and a "military Sonata" with drums and bagpipes. In the castle arches traditional bows and arrows are displayed and an archery bench has practical demonstrations from the same building.
In the garden of the Castle S.I.L.C.A. (Italian School for Throwing knives and axes) launches demonstrations of these weapons with the instructors of the school.
In the afternoon there are flag throwers, musicians and an historical procession. Then there is an exhibition of birds of prey. The day culminates with the taverns in the streets.
