Torricella in Sabina. The "Pasquella"

The Pasquella is a very heartfelt folk tradition and takes place on January 5 in Torricella in Sabina, the twelfth night after Christmas.

People become 'beggars' representing the dead returned to earth to rescue the living.

The beggars go from house to house singing a lullaby, the "Pasquella", with which they wish prosperity for the new year and ask for the gift from the land.
