Cerveteri. Colli Ceriti Grape and wine festival in Cerveteri

On the last weekend of August in Cerveteri there is the Grape Festival, one of the oldest in Lazio, founded in 1961 to raise awareness of the quality of local grapes and of the excellent Colli Ceriti wine.

The festival is also an opportunity to discover the delights of the area with special events such as the "Piazza del vino e dei sapori" where you can taste the wines of the cellars of Cerveteri and the products of the local gastronomy.

The local producers of homemade wine then compete for the "Fraschetta d'Oro" prize while the city's districts compete in the parade of wagons and in the grape crushing contest.

On this occasion visits to the Museum and to the Etruscan Necropolis of Banditaccia are organized, accompanied by tour guides.

The evenings are enlivened by live music and the event closes with a spectacular fireworks display.
