In March in the village of Acquaviva, in the town of Nerola, gnocchi are celebrated in all their forms.
Gnocchi are the Italian comfort food par excellence provides simple and genuine ingredients that are celebrated in one of the most awaited festivals.
Potatoes, flour, eggs and a little water give shape to this soft gastronomic dream that for the occasion is accompanied by the traditional mutton sauce.
For those who are not fond of the first, Nerola also celebrates the much-loved Frittelle di San Giuseppe to be enjoyed in two days of celebration with live music and lots of fun.
