Marino. Grape Festival

Marino. Grape Festival

In 1925 the poet of Marinesi origin, Leone Ciprelli invented the Grape Festival, the first event of its kind in Italy, characterized by the miracle of the fountains that give wine.

The party was established in conjunction with 7 October when Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated, the patroness of the Papal States represented in the banner at the Battle of Lepanto.

In 1926 he also held the 'The Poetic Music Competition', with the jury presided over by the great Roman poet Trilussa.

Sunday is the focus of the festival and, in addition to religious procession, a historical costume parade and a parade of floats take place along with the miracle of the fountains that give wine.
