Poggio Mirteto. Padellaccia Festival

The second weekend of December in Poggio Mirteto starts the Christmas holidays with Christmas markets and a very special festival dedicated to one of the traditional local dishes: the padellaccia.

It is a pork-based dish, which in this season is processed to prepare cured meats, sausages and hams.

The padellaccia is a pork stew cooked with garlic, rosemary and olives.

To accompany it the typical vegetables of this season, the bruschetta with the new oil and the sweets of the Christmas tradition.
