Contigliano. Festival of Pizzicotto

The Pizzicotto Festival takes place in Contigliano to pay homage to a typical dish from Sabina.

"Lu pizzicottu" is a gnocco (dumpling) made of bread dough topped with a spicy sauce.

It is called this because the dumpling is made by the housewife by pinching the bread dough.
