Poggio Mirteto. Sabina flavors

Poggio Mirteto. Sabina flavors

The Sabina flavors festival is a day dedicated to the rediscovery of autumn flavors of Sabina in the charming village of Poggio Mirteto.

A village on a hill famous for being one of the places of the “rape of the Sabines”, the legendary episode in which the Romans went to kidnap the women of Sabina to grow Rome beautiful and robust.

During the day a rural village with arts and crafts of the past is rebuilt to inform about the historical culture of the local artisans and to emphasize the flavors of the typical products. Traditional games for children are organized in one area.
