Supino. Festival of polenta and "panicelle"

On the Sunday following 17 January, on the occasion of the feast of St. Anthony the Abbot, in the square in Supino outside the church of St. Nicholas is held the famous ceremony of the blessing of the animals, that draws on a very old tradition.

On the occasion this festival of polenta is cooked in large containers ("Callare") and together with Panicelle (Holy Loaves of Bread) are distributed among the people in attendance.
