Segni. Calecara of Saint Joseph

On March 19th the town of Segni celebrates Saint Joseph with, on a day which also marks the awakening of agricultural activities, the "calecara" festival takes place. A bonfire is burned in the small squares of the town.

On the embers are then cooked pizzas of polenta, beans, chickpeas, "marries" (popcorn) and bruschetta.
