Carbognano. Feast of San Filippo Neri

In Carbognano, the festival of the patron San Filippo Neri  is held on May 26 and includes a solemn religious procession.

The statue is carried through the streets of the country.

For the grandeur of the "carriage of the Saints" a large number of carriers is required and thus was born the congregation called "The Knights of San Filippo Neri" deputed to transport the statues.

The knights wear a white tunic with cape of blue or red, depending on the saint to be carried.
