The celebrations of Sant'Antonino, the patron saint of Castelnuovo di Porto, are the occasion for some days of celebration that include a historical procession, a contest of carrettelle and musical shows.
Sant'Antonino di Apamea was a Christian martyr from Syria who had tried to promote Christianity and is very popular in Castelnuovo di Porto.
The religious celebrations involve a holy mass and a procession through the streets of the village. Immediately after the historic center is animated by a historical re-enactment that tells of the Colonna family, feudal lords and shows with street artists in the village.
Food and wine tastings and music during the evenings throughout the weekend. On Sundays there is the traditional race of carrettelle.
