In February, the Sanctuary of Vallepietra reopens in its winter break for a day of celebrations to pay homage to the Holy Trinity and to the extraordinary event of its appearance on a day of celebration and solemn rites.
The Feast of the Apparition includes a small pilgrimage from the parish church of the small village of Vallepietra to the homonymous sanctuary and a solemn mass in honor of the occasion, at the end of which in the village it will be possible to taste some of the most popular traditional dishes.
The Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful in Lazio and is the protagonist every year in May of one of the most heartfelt pilgrimages of Lazio, which involves many faithful from all over the province of Rome and beyond.
An event also attended by many hiking and trekking enthusiasts, due to the presence of beautiful woods and mountain routes that cross places like Livata and Campo dell'osso.
