Castel Gandolfo. Feast of the Madonna of the Lake

On 25 August in Castel Gandolfo on Lake Albano is celebration of the "Madonna del Lago", the patron saint of the town, with a very heartfelt ceremony.

It begins with a solemn mass followed by a procession that arrives from the village to the shore of the lake.

Here the statue of the Madonna is put on a boat and then begins the procession on the lake accompanied by a concert of the Città di Castel GandolfoBand .
