In June, on the occasion of the day of Corpus Domini, the streets of Montefiascone are covered with a carpet of flower petals.
The traditional procession passes on this carpet.
On this day the town celebrates the miracle of the transformation of the host in the Body of Christ which took place in the nearby city of Bolsena, on the shores of the Lake Bolsena.
