Itri. Bonfires of St. Joseph

In March in the town of Itri in the province of Latina, St. Joseph is celebrated an entire weekend until March 19, the actual day of the saint.

It starts with the solemn religious celebrations, the mass in honor of the saint and the procession of his statue in the streets of the village.

Every year the Fuochi di San Giuseppe (Bonfires of St. Joseph), bonfires illuminating Itri with joy and tradition are lit in the streets of the town.

For the duration of the festivities there are a myriad of activities and shows for everyone.
