In Nepi, the Holy Week Rites rites begin on Thursday with a visit to the "Sepulchre".
The altars are set up in the various churches and decorated with candles and flowers, in which sets the Eucharist on the day of its establishment.
On Good Friday there is a procession of the "Dead Christ" where the statues of Christ are taken down from the Cross and of Our Lady of Sorrows are carried on their shoulders through the streets of the town centre, from house to house, in a silent funeral procession.
